Design a Test Protocol for the Watercar
Submitted by dingeladmin on Thu, 08/07/2008 - 10:07
This is your chance to have direct participation in efforts to help Mr. Dingel gain scientific recognition of his water-powered car.
Everyone the world over is invited to submit a specific and detailed experiment/test protocol for consideration and possible implementation by laboratories in testing Dingel's invention.
There is no minimum educational requirement for one to submit his/her protocol, but more preference shall be given to protocols that have sound scientific basis as created by experts in related fields (mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, etc).
Guidelines for submission:
1) Not more than thirty (30) pages, US letter-sized paper dimensions, single space, using Arial font at a minimum size of 12pt. English must be the language used in writing.
2) Must include the name and contact information of the protocol's designer, and his/her/their educational/academic background.
3) The goal of the test protocol is to validate Engr. Dingel's main claim: that hydrogen can be extracted on demand from ordinarily available water and then used to fuel an internal combustion engine.
4) Observe the following format:
I. Title Page
II. Abstract
III. Table of Contents
IV. List of Figures/Diagrams/Tables (if any)
V. Introduction
A. Purpose, Background, History, etc.
B. Test Rationale
C. Overview of Test Strategy
VI. Protocol
A. Data Collection Plan
B. Resources needed - Equipment, Personnel, Organization, Responsibilities
C. Test Conditions/Set-up
D. Flow Chart
E. Test Procedure/Protocol
VII. Data Analysis
A. Theories to be Tested
B. Definition of a Successful Test; Pass/Fail Criteria
C. Contingencies for Preliminary or Insufficient Results
D. Statistical Techniques
VIII. References
IX. Appendices
X. Detailed Author Information
A. Name
B. Contact Information
C. Educational Background
D. Academic, Government, or Corporate Affiliations
5) All submissions must be electronic (in *.doc, *.docx, or *.pdf formats only please) and e-mailed to info@danieldingel.com
6) There is no deadline to this exercise. Submissions are however encouraged to be made at the soonest possible time.
7) By submitting a test protocol, the author must agree that Daniel Dingel will have the right to use the same either in its original or in a modified form, with the author to be acknowledged in case his/her/their protocol is selected. There will be NO monetary compensation whatsoever for any protocol submitted, even for the chosen one.
8) Author(s) will be notified via return e-mail if their protocol is chosen for implementation by a local Philippine scientific institution.
